Tutoring Program available for all ages

Mondays thru Thursdays 3:00PM-6:00PM.

Teachers and volunteers are available for tutoring and helping with homework and school assignments. This program is designed to teach study techniques for learning.

Computer Center

Monday thru Saturday for all ages. The computer center provides members with a working knowledge of computer basics. The computers are equipped with high quality educational programs for all students. Also, the computers are used as tutoring aides to help build skills in reading, math, language arts, spelling and much, much more.


Objective:

Students learn collaborative skills so they can work together in groups.

The learning of academic material and responsible behavior is assured because teachers utilize methods based upon learning, intelligence, cooperative learning, and social development research. The teachers and administrators in "A Second Chance" program also work as teams in supportive groups.


Music Program will be return when funding permits.

All courses will include hands on learning from concept to completion of each project. Students will learn how to create music, produce a CD, setup and operate sound equipment, promote and market an event, and complete a project as a group. Second Chance will provide free training for students ages 6-25 years.


Music Courses: The recording studio will conduct classes on Basic Studio Production, Engineering, Editing, Music Theory, Mastering & Mixing Graphic Art, Application for Cakewalk and Music lessons. Each course will run six months with the exception of the music lessons.

Youths make new friends and interact with peers in a positive manner. Provide opportunities for fun as well as constructive use of leisure time.
